Meet Canaan Mpala - Speaker at NESZ 2026

The National Education Summit of Zimbabwe (NESZ 2026) is proud to welcome Canaan Mpala, General Manager at TelOne Centre for Learning, as a distinguished speaker.

With over 27 years of experience in higher education leadership, Mr. Mpala has built a reputation for driving institutional transformation, innovation, and sustainability within Zimbabwe’s education sector.

At the TelOne Centre for Learning, his leadership has:
✨ Transformed the institution into a self-sustaining, profit-making unit
✨ Led the establishment of a hi-tech innovation hub
✨ Strengthened the link between education, technology, and industry

Previously, he held key leadership roles at Lupane State University, including Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor and inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, where he pioneered impactful initiatives such as the LupFin Microfinance project.

A member and regional chairman of the Zimbabwe Institute of Management, Mr. Mpala is also a published thought leader in management and education development.

Notice Of Extension Of NESZ 2026 Registration Deadline

The National Education Summit Zimbabwe (NESZ) 2026 wishes to inform all stakeholders, institutions, educators, development partners, exhibitors, and delegates that the registration deadline for participation at the Summit has been extended from Friday, 22 May 2026 to Tuesday, 26 May 2026.This extension provides an additional opportunity for schools, universities, organisations, corporates, and education stakeholders to secure participation in Zimbabwe’s premier education dialogue platform.

Summit Dates: 27 – 29 May 2026
Venue: Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), Bulawayo
Theme: “From Policy to Practice: Driving Innovation and Investment in Zimbabwe’s Education System”

The National Education Summit Zimbabwe (NESZ 2026) proudly recognises Hon. Judith Ncube-Mkwanda, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, for her leadership as Bulawayo hosts this year’s summit.

As the senior Government representative overseeing Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Hon. Ncube-Mkwanda coordinates Government programmes, development initiatives, ministries, and departments within the province, contributing to regional growth and national development.
